COVID-19 vaccine rollout is continuing in Australia.
The Australian Department of Health has announced that the COVID-19 vaccine will be provided at no cost to everyone in Australia – this includes overseas visitors and international students who are studying in Australia.
The COVID-19 vaccines are voluntary and free for everyone in Australia. You do not need a Medicare card or a prescription from a GP if you get your vaccination at Commonwealth vaccine clinics and state or territory vaccine clinics.
The Australian Government wants everyone in Australia to have access to a safe, free, COVID-19 vaccine if they choose to be vaccinated.
You can check when and where you can receive a vaccine using the eligibility checker.
The Pfizer vaccine is prioritised for people under 50 years of age. The AstraZeneca vaccine is prioritised for people aged 50 years and over.
